Munjirin Leads Simultaneous Planting at RPTRA Rawa Jaya

East Jakarta Mayor Munjirin led the Simultaneous Planting event at RPTRA Rawa Jaya Pondok Kopi, Duren Sawit, on Friday (7/18). On this occasion, he planted eight productive trees, consisting of four mango trees and four avocado trees.

"This movement involved 1,000 participants across 10 sub-districts,"

This event was held in hybrid format and was attended in person by Jakarta TP PKK Chairperson, Dewi Rano Karno and Jakarta KPKP Agency Head, Hasudungan Sidabalok. The event also coincided with the weekly "Friday Planting" movement routinely carried out by his adminsitration.

"Today's Friday Planting aligns with TP PKK's initiative to plant chili together across Jakarta," he stated.

According to him, this tree-planting activity also serves to educate residents, with hopes that not only government, but also residents will actively take part.

"After planting, please take care of the plants so our environment and air quality will continue to improve," he said.

Chairperson of East Jakarta TP PKK, Essy Feransie Munjirin, explained that the simultaneous planting in East Jakarta covered 280 locations, with around 3,000 chili seedlings planted across 10 sub-districts.

"Today's activity also included harvesting bok choy, tomatoes, chilies, eggplants, and bottle gourds," she added.

In the other hand, East Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head, Taufik Yulianto, mentioned that the initiative supports household food security and economic improvement in East Jakarta.

Simultaneous Planting in his region took place at 36 buildings and office buildings, 20 RPTRAs, 13 yards, 10 alleys or yards, 10 farming groups, four public facilities, one school, and one public housing.

"This movement involved 1,000 participants across 10 sub-districts," he concluded.
